Amazing $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore available through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to help you get started. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
