Loyal followers of the actress are calling for that a person who leaped a barrier and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being detained", though legal records revealed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film interpretation of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected bond between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and received a dozen award recognitions, earning a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
