Officials stated the forty-year-old entertainer was confronted by a trio of assailants, one of whom shot at him before running away.

Police indicated that Stock was attacked as he was departing from a location in the vicinity of the city center landmark.

"The report indicates the man was approached by three unidentified men after parking his vehicle, and they shot at him before running from the location on foot," a police statement said.

CCTV footage showed a suspect with dreadlocks and wearing what resembled a security uniform shooting on Stock before fleeing.

The DJ sought to escape after he was shot but fell down a short distance away.

Police added that Stock had an unused firearm and it was not a robbery during the assault.

Crucial forensic evidence, like bullet casings, were found at the scene.
